Caught upon the shorelines of Homer, Alaska, these images revealed themselves belly up to the sunshine and just a click away. My Mother and I walked the coast with my son and daughter remarking that everyone had their eyes open for a different kind of treasure washing up right at our feet.  My 2-year-old daughter at the time collected her precious sticks, my son at 8, had piles of starfish he was throwing back into the waves as a rescue mission and I was collecting photographs and a token treasure of raw beach glass if I was fortunate enough to find one. I had several gathered up in my pocket. I think my Mother chose the wisest of all, she took the moment in just collecting the beauty of the day, being present with her family and small, remarkable moments that last a lifetime.
